Grace Covenant Church is home to the oldest original pipe organ in Charlotte – it has never been revoiced nor had any pipes replaced. It is a lovely, smaller Moller organ with a lyrical, mellow tone, but it still can pack a punch when all stops are fully open.
The two manuals (keyboards) and eleven ranks (stops) are housed in a mahogany case, and the 640 green pipes have gold stenciling. It was dedicated on June 13, 1910 to commemorate the new meeting-house of Chalmers Presbyterian Church. Come hear it this Sunday!
