TEAM’s defining value of “Caring Community” means coming alongside global workers (missionaries) as they navigate the unique pressures of cross-cultural ministry. For this Prayer Focus, we want to lift up our laborers in the field as they face tough challenges and tremendous pressures that most of us can’t even imagine. We can do that by echoing the prayers we see in God’s Word.

Romans 5:1-5

Father, we thank you that as believers in Jesus, we have peace with you, and have obtained access by faith into your grace. I pray that _________* will stand in that grace and rejoice in the hope of the glory of God. I pray that _________ will rejoice in suffering, knowing that suffering produces endurance, and endurance produces character, and character produces hope. I pray that __________ will feel the peace of knowing that your love has been poured into our hearts through the Holy Spirit.

Phil 1:9-11

Lord, I pray for ___________ , that his love may abound more and more, with knowledge and all  discernment, so that he may approve what is excellent, and so be pure and blameless for the day of Christ. I pray that _________ will be filled with the fruit of righteousness that comes through you, Lord. May you receive all the glory and praise for __________’s work.

Eph 3:14-19

I pray that you will dwell richly in ___________’s heart through faith. I pray that, rooted and grounded in love, __________ will have strength to comprehend with all the saints what is the breadth and length and height and depth of your love – the love that surpasses knowledge, that he may be filled with all the fullness of you.

John 17:15-23

Lord, I pray that you will guard ____________ from the evil one. Please help her to remember that she is no longer of the world, just as you are not of the world. I pray that you would sanctify ___________ by your truth; your word is truth. I pray for __________ to have unity with her teammates – that they might be “one” as you are the Godhead three-in-one: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. I pray this so that the world may know the truth of the Gospel.

Matt 6:9-13 (Lord’s Prayer)

Father, I pray that your name would be glorified and your Kingdom personified in the work of ___________. I pray that your will is done in __________’s life and ministry.
