Back To School Prayer

At the close of this morning’s service, we spent just a few moments in prayer for those around us and for our own joy…whatever our role and influence on students or workers.

This great article, 7 Back-to-School Prayers for Students, by Jaquelle Crowe from August 2017 on Crossway's website had great source material.  I contextualized #6 and #7 for our congregation.  It only takes a moment to read, but I pray that we’ll take this as a guide to pray this week!

Here is a glance at the list:

1. Pray for gratitude.
2. Pray for humility.
3. Pray for witnessing opportunities.
4. Pray for serving opportunities.
5. Pray for diligence.
6. Pray for the people around you.
7. Pray for joy!

“And you can pray with confidence because we know God hears the prayers of his people. “The LORD is near to all who call on him, to all who call on him in truth” (Psalm 145:18).

Students, call on the Lord this year for help and hope and faith and joy—and watch him answer your prayers.”
