Summary: God describes the conquest of Canaan as a bit of an epilogue to the covenant. Then God ratifies the covenant with Israel in a meal. He promised to lead them into battle, and through battle…he does the same for us. He promised to meet with them at the table…He does the same with us. Our battle and table definitely look different than Israel’s did at this point in history - but our GOD is still leading, calling us, and inviting us into His presence.
